  • RSR is a mechanical and electrical commissioning company with deep roots in the design and construction industry. From our initial contract in 2001 to today, we are focused on providing meaningful, sustainable solutions to our clients. We are committed to ongoing learning and adoption of best practices, leading edge technology and incorporation of new developments in the field of commissioning services into all our services.
  • Successful commissioning is dependent on experienced and dedicated staff and we have assembled a team of highly qualified and knowledgeable staff members. Our team consists of professional engineers, technicians and building trade journeymen skilled in the areas of engineering design, construction administration, facility management, building management systems, building operations and maintenance.
  • RSR Commissioning is a fully accredited member of the Building Commissioning Association (BCA). Our team is dedicated to ensuring that all steps in the commissioning process are completed, the owner and facility objectives are met and that your facility will operate as intended and designed, from the first day of occupancy through the expected life of the facility. We are experienced in Fundamental LEED® Certified facilities, LEED® Shadow, energy audits, and other specialized commissioning projects. We have extensive experience in all industries and project types, including healthcare, commercial office buildings, warehouses, industrial facilities, recreational projects and multi-residential units.

  • Successful commissioning is a quality control process and is dependent on experienced and dedicated staff. RSR has assembled a team of exceptionally qualified and knowledgeable staff members.
  • Our team consists of LEED accredited professional engineers and technicians highly skilled in the areas of construction, administration, facility management, building management systems and building operations and maintenance. The team at RSR Commissioning is dedicated to ensuring your facility will run properly from the first day of occupancy through the expected lifecycle of the facility.

PhilPhil Larkin, C.E.T., CPMP,
Managing Director

  • Phil has been the lead mechanical commissioning agent at RSR since he joined the team in 2009. He has lead the RSR team on many commissioning projects and brings his wealth of experience and leadership to every project. He has more than 25 years of commissioning, engineering design and project management experience in all industry sectors. Phil was a project manager for Alberta Infrastructure for over 15 years where he was involved in all aspects of engineering troubleshooting, systems design, commissioning and construction co-ordination.
  • Subsequently, Phil was an instructor and the HVAC and plumbing program coordinator at SAIT Polytechnic. He was the director of the Engineered Air Centre (HVAC & Plumbing Labs) for over five years. Some Phil’s recent projects include:

JackJack McLaughlin, C.M.E.,
Commissioning Agent

  • Jack is a Commissioning Agent for RSR and has over 20 years of experience in the mechanical and electrical engineering fields with extensive building management controls experience. As a key member of RSR’s leadership team he is dedicated to ensuring all steps in the commissioning process are successfully completed, that the owner’s goals and facility objectives are met.  The end result of the commissioning process is to ensure that the facility will operate as intended from the first day of occupancy through the expected lifecycle.
