Yamnuska Hall is a new, 219 unit student residential complex at the University of Calgary, with accommodation for a total of 596 students. The main floor consists of commercial and retail units geared towards student needs. The Hall is part of an expansion on campus to house upper year students. Due to the nature of the facility, strict adherence to budgets and timelines was necessary.
The project is now successfully completed within budget and time constraints. The project is LEED® Silver certified with a number of sustainable design initiatives including energy efficient fixtures and heat recovery units with desiccant heat wheels serving the corridors and ensuite washrooms. River water will be utilized for the irrigation system.
